Reunion

Sigh ! of contentment !
Contentment, satisfaction, bliss... that's what my recent short trip brought to me.

Flying to a city with my friend of a lifetime in tow... to meet our other friends of a lifetime. It was after three years that we actually got time to sit together and talk. Without her cute little baby crying because he was hungry thristy or sleepy. Don't get me wrong, i love the baby to death.

The moment we got on the flight, we wanted to sleep.... but we din't. We yapped and yapped about everyone's personal, professional and sex lives in excruciating details. For a second i wondered if the air hostesses' phone was off the hook and our chatter was being announced... but then we'd hear it too. And considering how loud we were, half the flight could hear us anyway.

Sadly, both me and T(my friend of a lifetime in tow) have developed an allergy... she sneezes and i cough.  She being more experienced and me amateur. The amateur me, made the mistake of popping an allegra as soon as i got off the flight. Within and hour, i was a zombie, i could barely hear or react to the enthusiastic chit-chat that was going on over lunch between T, N (again friend of a lifetime) and A (N's husband from college who totally owes his marriage to us, whether he likes it or not).

We spent the next two days, eating, sleeping, drinking, smoking (very rare activity reserved for such reunions), and discussing every details of our lives. Before i knew, it was time for T to leave :( and for me to meet a couple of my other alarmingly close friends :)

The next day was the spent roaming around on the streets of this amazing, buzzing, lively city.. eating.. yapping.. and smoking ofcourse. Calling that yapping would actually be an insult. It was a session of sharing between the three of us, the most intimate, emotional experiences of our lives. The experiences which were strong enough to change the course of our lives.

The things i would not admit to myself seem so easy to say in front of these special people. This post is for all four of you. T, N, C, A - Thanks for being a part of my life, you make it so much easier to get through it :)
